1. Safety & Security

Experienced Guides and Staff

  • Our safari guides and staff are highly trained professionals with extensive experience in leading safaris and handling various situations in the wilderness. They are knowledgeable about wildlife behavior, first aid procedures, and emergency protocols.

Well-Maintained Vehicles and Equipment

  • We maintain a fleet of well-equipped safari vehicles that undergo regular maintenance and safety inspections. Our vehicles are equipped with communication devices, first aid kits, and emergency supplies to ensure preparedness for any situation.

Comprehensive Safety Briefings

  • Prior to embarking on safari, our guides provide comprehensive safety briefings to all clients. This includes information about wildlife encounters, vehicle safety protocols, and guidelines for behavior in the wilderness.

24/7 Emergency Support

  • We have a dedicated team available 24/7 to provide assistance and support in case of emergencies. Our staff monitor safari activities closely and are prepared to respond promptly to any incidents or requests for assistance.

Adherence to Safety Regulations

  • We adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines set forth by national park authorities and wildlife conservation agencies. Our operations are conducted in compliance with safety standards to ensure the well-being of our clients and the preservation of the environment.

Risk Assessment and Management

  • We conduct thorough risk assessments for each safari itinerary to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks proactively. Our guides are trained to assess situations quickly and make informed decisions to ensure the safety of our clients.

Communication and Check-Ins

  • We maintain regular communication with our safari groups and provide regular check-ins to ensure that everyone is safe and comfortable throughout the journey. Clients are encouraged to communicate any concerns or issues to their guide or tour leader.

Health and Hygiene Protocols

  • In light of health concerns, we implement stringent health and hygiene protocols to minimize the risk of illness or transmission of infectious diseases. This includes sanitation measures, provision of hand sanitizers, and adherence to health guidelines recommended by health authorities.

Client Support and Assistance

  • We provide personalized support and assistance to our clients throughout their safari experience. Our staff are available to address any concerns, provide information, and offer assistance whenever needed.

Continuous Improvement and Training

  • We are committed to continuous improvement and training to enhance the safety and security measures implemented across our operations. Our staff undergo regular training and professional development to ensure that they are well-prepared to handle any situation that may arise.

2. Booking & Cancellation Policy

  • Postponement of safari to a later date shall be free of charge.
  • Any cancellation more than 90 days before your safari will be subjected to a 5% fee of the total tour fee.
  • Cancellations made between 90 and 60 days prior to the start of the tour will incur a cancellation fee of 40% of the total tour fee.
  • Cancellations made between 60 days to a ‘No Show’ prior to the start of the tour will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total tour fee.
  • If you are making a reservation less than 15 days prior to the start of the tour 100% payment must be made to accept the reservation.
  • SWARA NDUME SAFARIS reserves the right to cancel a reservation if payment is not received on time, in which case cancellation fees will apply.
  • A party invoking the force majeure clause shall be at liberty to postpose the tour to a future date.

These terms and conditions and the contracts or engagements that shall arise here from shall be governed by the Laws of Kenya.

The company reserves the right to amend, alter or change these terms and conditions without notice whatsoever to any party contracting hereunder

3. Reservations

  • To make a reservation you are required to pay a deposit of 50% of the total amount of the tour. The remaining balance must be paid 2 weeks prior to the start of the tour through bank transfer or upon arrival in cash or card.
  • Note: Card payments will have an additional 5% payment processing fee
  •  

4. Transportation

  • Safari minibuses, Safari 4WD Van, 4X4 Land cruisers, Cars, or Coaches will be provided according to the price, route and number of participants. English Speaking driver guides are provided.

 

5. Accommodation

  • Most of the rooms booked are booked on the basis of two persons sharing a double room. Single rooms are available at supplementary costs. Hotels and lodges where mentioned are named as an indication of category and rooms may be reserved at alternate hotels or lodges that offer the same level and quality of service. Hotels are chosen based on criteria including comfort and cleanliness. Please note that a “twin room” will have two single beds placed side by side.
